December Elegies: Coda al Fine

Calling the fallen angels, the saint
beginners to forgive for we know not
what we do, but it’s what we do to start
anew for here comes the sun on a low
solstice angle along the south horizon
it seems to be on a whole other level
dancing with the devil in disguise doing
that rag or a hasty tengo known as a
beguine en el sud tal vez en Colombia
o otros paises dal vez en cuando desde
los dios que illuminati in the attics of my
mind as the voice of the last Beat Angel
sings auld lang syne until the end of time
if such a thing there be and nobody knows
certainly not me but my soul is all in with
the divine, glory, glory, hallelujah you
feeling me, joy to the world the cosmic
Christ is here now eternally no need for
fancy fanfares with your hands in the air
like you just don’t care go tell it on the
mountain the meek shall inherit the earth
and we are the meek no need to seek or
set sail across the bar for the truth is freely
within our hearts whether together or blown
apart believe in the good news of Luke II
and let the spirit of the season be upon you
