Oh, her pleasant ways lead
to peaceful places tugging
heart strings strong enough
to pull trains down the tracks
To throw boulders down a
cliff or hurl horses overboard
from sailing ships in quiet seas
south of silent tropical breezes
Rumor has it she was a simple
girl from a distant country tis
of thee or so it seems far from
simplicity no person or zone
Far gone conclusions confusion
clocks ringing as if a hammer
warning rise up so early in the
morning with voices calling her
Angels singing her name as if
spine tingling divine sensations
visions of rose petals falling as
sparkles of manna from heaven
Shine in sunlit morning dew as
if a white dove sent from on
high where her love light burns
open hearts and minds to see
Deep inside body and soul this
is the simple essence of love
oh, to count the days of summer
her pleasant ways stir within me
